GeekDecor.net is a blog dedicated to incorporating geeky fandoms into everyday life, specializing in geeky and nerdy decor for the home, office and car. Chris and the Geek Decor writers share commercially available products as well as hand-made items from sites like Etsy to provide some of the best items available for geeks. Geek Decor also spotlights Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects as well as Featured Geeks: creators and decorators who are experts in the field of home decor for geeks.
Chris Thomas – Editor. Chris is the self-proclaimed King of All Geeks and loves all things geeky. Aside from running Geek Decor, Chris is also an avid toy collector and comic book reader.
Jennifer Mendez – Writer. Video game/comic book scriptwriter, freelancer, and fellow Geek Decor writer. Surely, if you need to combine the research skills of a journalist, and the wording of a storyteller, Jenn is the geek to go to.
Rheanna Haaland – Writer. Writer, editor and probably a super villain. She has a B.A. in English writing and a PhD in Batman studies. She’ll probably write something for you if you ask her nicely. In her spare time, Rheanna eats copious amounts of peanut butter and uses State Department letterhead to send faux draft notices to her friends for the oncoming robot apocalypse.
Lex Nine – Writer. Lex is a combater of zombies, aliens & whatever else digitally runs amok. Superhero reader/watcher/stalker. Movie quoter and hoarder of geeky objects.
Eric Franz – Writer. Eric enjoys writing, anime, manga, and knows way too much about classic video games. He loves collecting said games, figures, and spending time with his wife.
GeekDecor.net makes money in several ways:
The main source of income is through Affiliate Sales. If you see something you like on our site and click through to the vendor and purchase that item, we might make a small percentage of the sale price for that item. This applies for any listings from ThinkGeek, Entertainment Earth, Amazon, Sideshow Collectibles, SuperHeroStuff, Play-Asia and others.
If a link is to a website not on this list, like Etsy, it is probably not an affiliate link. We receive no commission from promoting creators on Etsy, apart from the good karma of sharing our love for fellow geeks. This also applies to our ‘Featured Geeks’ and ‘Geek It Yourself’ posts.
GeekDecor.net also makes money through banner advertisements located throughout the site. These may come from Google AdSense or through banner exchanges and private ad sales.
GeekDecor.net does offer sponsored posts. This type of post will be clearly marked as a sponsored post. All sponsored posts will always feature our honest opinions and will never be swayed by the fact that we’ve been paid to write it.
Even though we monetize our site, the reader is always our top priority. We strive to build a site that we would visit ourselves and we hope the end-product shows that.
